Lobisomem
Um lobisomem, também conhecido como um licantropo, é um humano mitológico ou folclórico com a habilidade de se transformar em um lobo ou uma criatura híbrida semelhante ao lobo, como o lobo, ou propositalmente ou depois de ser colocada sob uma maldição ou uma aflição. As primeiras fontes de crença na licantropia são Petronius e Gervase de Tilbury. O lobisomem é um conceito generalizado no folclore europeu, existente em muitas variantes que são relacionadas por um desenvolvimento comum de uma interpretação cristã da mitologia indo-européia subjacente que se desenvolveu durante o período medieval. Do início do período moderno, as crenças do homem-lobo também se espalharam para o Novo Mundo com o colonialismo. A crença no lobisomem se desenvolve paralelamente à crença nas bruxas, no decurso da Idade Média tardia e no período do início do século XX. Como os ensaios de feitiçaria como um todo, o julgamento de supostos lobisomens emerge no que é agora a Suíça no início do século 15 e se espalha por toda a Europa no dia 16, atingindo o pico no dia 17 e subindo pelo século XVIII.
