Os Mockingbirds são um grupo de pássaros passereiros do Novo Mundo da família Mimidae. Eles são mais conhecidos pelo hábito de algumas espécies imitando as canções de outros pássaros e os sons de insetos e anfíbios, muitas vezes alto e em rápida sucessão. Existem cerca de 17 espécies em três gêneros. Estes não parecem formar uma linhagem monofilética: Mimus e Nesomimus estão intimamente relacionados; seus parentes vivos mais próximos parecem ser alguns thrashers, como o Sage Thrasher. Melanotis é mais distinto; parece representar uma linhagem basal muito antiga de Mimidae. O único mockingbird comumente encontrado na América do Norte é o Mockingbird Norte.
