Osciloscópio
Um osciloscópio, anteriormente chamado de oscilógrafo, e informalmente conhecido como escopo, CRO ou DSO, é um tipo de instrumento de teste eletrônico que permite a observação de voltagens de sinal constantemente variáveis, geralmente como um enredo bidimensional de um ou mais sinais como um função do tempo. Os sinais não elétricos podem ser convertidos em tensões e exibidos. Osciloscópios são usados para observar a mudança de um sinal elétrico ao longo do tempo, de modo que a tensão e o tempo descrevem uma forma que é continuamente representada em grafia contra uma escala calibrada. A forma de onda observada pode ser analisada quanto a propriedades como amplitude, frequência, tempo de subida, intervalo de tempo, distorção e outros. Os instrumentos digitais modernos podem calcular e exibir essas propriedades diretamente. Originalmente, o cálculo desses valores exigia a medição manual da forma de onda contra as escalas incorporadas na tela do instrumento. O osciloscópio pode ser ajustado para que os sinais repetitivos possam ser observados como forma contínua na tela.
