Postscript
Um postscript é escrito adicionado após o corpo principal de uma carta ou outro corpo de escrita. O termo vem do Latin post scriptum, uma expressão que significa "escrito depois". Um post-script pode ser uma frase, um parágrafo ou, ocasionalmente, muitos parágrafos adicionados, muitas vezes apressadamente e incidentalmente, após a assinatura de uma carta ou o corpo principal de um ensaio ou livro. Em um livro ou ensaio, uma adição mais cuidadosamente composta é chamada de uma nota posterior. Um post, geralmente não chamado de postscript, é escrito em resposta a observações críticas na primeira edição. A palavra "postscript" foi, poeticamente, usada para se referir a qualquer tipo de adenda a algum trabalho principal, mesmo que não seja anexado a um trabalho principal, como no livro de Søren Kierkegaard, intitulado Conclusão não-científica Postscript. Às vezes, quando os pontos adicionais são feitos após o primeiro postscript, abreviaturas como PSS, PPS e PPPS são usadas, embora apenas o PPS tenha um uso bastante comum.
