Sikhismo
O sikhismo, ou conhecido no Punjabi como Sikhi, é uma religião monoteísta fundada durante o século 15 na região de Punjab do subcontinente indiano, por Guru Nanak e continuou a progredir através dos dez sucessivos gurus sikhs. É a quinta maior religião organizada do mundo, com cerca de 30 milhões de adeptos. Punjab, Índia é o único estado do mundo com uma população sikh maioritária. Os adeptos do sijismo são conhecidos como sikhs. De acordo com Devinder Singh Chahal, "A palavra" Sikhi "deu origem à moderna palavra anglicizada" Sikhismo "para o mundo moderno".
