Um NEET ou neet é um jovem que é "Not in Education, Employment, or Training". O acrônimo NEET foi usado pela primeira vez no Reino Unido, mas seu uso se espalhou para outros países, incluindo Japão e Coréia do Sul. No Reino Unido, a classificação compreende pessoas entre 16 e 24 anos; O subgrupo de NEET com idades entre os 16 e os 18 anos é freqüentemente de foco particular.
