Cirurgia estereotáxica
A cirurgia estereotáctica ou estereotaxia é uma forma de intervenção cirúrgica minimamente invasiva, que utiliza um sistema de coordenadas tridimensional para localizar alvos pequenos dentro do corpo e para realizar sobre eles algumas ações, como a ablação, biópsia, lesão, injeção, estimulação, implantação, radiocirurgia, etc. Em teoria, qualquer sistema de órgãos dentro do corpo pode ser submetido a cirurgia estereotáxica. No entanto, as dificuldades na criação de um quadro de referência confiável significam que suas aplicações foram limitadas à cirurgia cerebral. Além do cérebro, a biópsia e a cirurgia da mama são feitas rotineiramente para localizar, remover e remover o tecido.
