Telidon
Telidon foi um serviço de videotex / teletexto desenvolvido pelo Canadian Communications Research Center no final da década de 1970 e apoiado por empresas comerciais lideradas pela Infomart no início dos anos 80. O CRC referiu-se à Telidon como um sistema de "segunda geração", oferecendo desempenho melhorado, gráficos em cores 2D, suporte multilíngüe e várias opções de interatividade diferentes suportadas em vários hardwares. Embora projetos como GRASSROOTS para a Província de Manitoba, SOI para a Venezuela, Compuserve, LA Times na Califórnia, EPIC para General Motors, NOVATEX para Teleglobe Canadá e a aplicação nacional Swiss PTT, demonstraram os conceitos, eventualmente o apoio do governo para o projeto terminou em 31 de março de 1985, e os vários serviços comerciais com base nela fechados logo depois.
