O jaque amarelo, Carangoides bartholomaei, é uma espécie de peixe marinho offshore na família Jack, Carangidae. É um dos dois únicos representantes do gênero presente no Oceano Atlântico, que habita águas da costa leste das Américas, de Massachusetts, no norte, para o Brasil, no sul, além de uma série de ilhas offshore. O jaque amarelo pode ser distinguido de espécies estreitamente relacionadas ao comprimento do maxilar, bem como a contagem dos raios nas barbatanas. É um peixe bastante grande, crescendo até um comprimento máximo registrado de 1 m e um peso de pelo menos 14 kg. Jaque amarelo habitam recifes bem no mar, movendo-se individualmente ou nas escolas e são peixes predatórios que tomam principalmente outros peixes pequenos. Estudos no Caribe sugerem que a espécie atinge a maturidade sexual entre 23 e 32 cm, e gera nas águas do mar de fevereiro a outubro. Jaque amarelo são de menor importância econômica, tomadas pelos métodos de gancho e rede, e são considerados peixe de mesa justa. Eles são muitas vezes apanhados por pescadores de barcos, embora sejam negligenciados para seus parentes maiores.
