Os tumores de somatostatina são relatados pela primeira vez em 1977, quando os tumores produzem uma grande quantidade de somatostatina e ocorrem sintomas de diabetes, lesão da vesícula biliar, diarréia e diminuição da secreção de ácido gástrico. Todos têm tumores de carcinoma de ilhéus pancreáticos, todos com tumores com outros órgãos, especialmente metástases no fígado, cujas células tumorais são semelhantes às células D das ilhotas de ilhéus pancreáticas. O valor da somatostatina no sangue é maior do que o valor normal, e a angiografia ea TC são usadas para o diagnóstico do local do tumor. A quimioterapia, como a estreptozotocina, foi realizada no início do tratamento para o ferro e para a estreptozotocina em caso de metástase. 소마토스타틴종양 1977년에 처음으로 보고되고, 종양이 대량의 소마토스타틴을 생산하고, 당뇨병, 담낭병변, 설사, 위산분비기능의 저하 증상이 나타나는 것을 말한다. 모두가 췌장란겔한스섬 종양으로, 어느것이나 타 장기, 특히 간으로의 전이소(転移巢)를 가지는 종양을 가지고 있고, 그의 종양세포는 췌장 란겔한스섬의 D세포에 유사하다. 혈중 소마토스타틴치는 정상인에 비하여 고치(高値)를 나타내고, 종양의 부위진단에는 혈관조영법, CT등이 사용되고 있다. 치료로서는 조기에는 종양을 철제, 전이소(轉移巢)가 있으면 streptozotocin등의 화학요법이 행하여지고 있다.
