ABBA - Conjunto de música pop sueco, fundado em 1972 por Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus e Agnetha Fältskog. A atividade musical do grupo remonta aos anos setenta e início dos anos oitenta. O nome da banda, formada em 1973, é um acrônimo formado a partir das primeiras letras dos nomes dos vocalistas. A ABBA é considerada uma das mais importantes do mercado e a história musical da bilheteria vendeu mais de 300 milhões de discos em todo o mundo. Em 1974, o grupo ganhou o 19º Concurso de Canção da Eurovisão com o sucesso "Waterloo", dando a Suécia a primeira vitória na história da competição e se tornando o participante mais popular do evento. Em 5 de julho de 2008, membros da banda se encontraram e se apresentaram juntos para a estréia sueca de um filme baseado no musical Mamma Mia !, cujo roteiro inspirou os maiores sucessos do grupo. Foi a primeira reunião pública de vocalistas há mais de vinte anos. Em 2010, a banda foi apresentada ao Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

ABBA – szwedzki zespół muzyczny grający muzykę pop, założony w 1972 roku przez Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Benny'ego Anderssona, Björna Ulvaeusa i Agnethę Fältskog. Działalność muzyczna grupy przypada na lata siedemdziesiąte i początek lat osiemdziesiątych. Przyjęta w 1973 roku nazwa zespołu jest akronimem utworzonym z pierwszych liter imion wokalistów. Zespół ABBA uważany jest za jedną z bardziej znaczących na rynku oraz kasowych formacji muzycznych w historii, sprzedał ponad 300 milionów płyt na całym świecie. W 1974 roku grupa wygrała 19. Konkurs Piosenki Eurowizji z przebojem „Waterloo”, zapewniając Szwecji pierwsze zwycięstwo w historii konkursu oraz zostając najpopularniejszym uczestnikiem imprezy. 5 lipca 2008 roku członkowie zespołu spotkali się i pozowali wspólnie do zdjęć przy okazji szwedzkiej premiery filmu opartego na musicalu Mamma Mia!, którego scenariusz inspirowany był największymi przebojami utworami grupy. Było to pierwsze od ponad dwudziestu lat publiczne spotkanie wokalistów. W 2010 roku zespół został wprowadzony na Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
