Autonomismul sau autonomismul Marxismul este un set de mișcări și teorii politice și sociale de stânga anti-autoritare. Ca sistem teoretic, el a apărut pentru prima dată în Italia, în anii 1960, de comunismul muncitoresc. Mai târziu, tendințele post-marxiste și anarhiste au devenit semnificative după influența situației, eșecul mișcărilor italiene de stânga din anii 1970 și apariția unui număr de teoreticieni importanți, inclusiv Antonio Negri, care au contribuit la fondarea din 1969 a orașului Potere Opera lui Mario Tronti, Paolo Virno, Franco Berardi "Bifo" etc. Georgy Katsiaficas sintetizează formele mișcărilor autonome care spun că "spre deosebire de deciziile centralizate și structurile de autoritate ierarhică ale instituțiilor moderne, mișcările sociale autonome implică oamenii direct în deciziile care le afectează viața de zi cu zi și încearcă să extindă democrația și să îi ajute pe indivizi să se elibereze de structurile politice și modelele de comportament impuse din afară.
