Un anevrism sau anevrism este o bombă localizată, plină de sânge, în peretele unui vas de sânge. Anevrismele pot apărea în orice vas de sânge, cu exemple care includ anevrisme ale cercului Willis din creier, anevrisme aortice care afectează aorta toracică și anevrisme aortice abdominale. Anevrismele pot apărea și în interiorul inimii. Ca un anevrism crește în mărime, riscul de ruptură crește. Un anevrism rupt poate duce la sângerare și un șoc hipovolemic ulterior, ducând la moarte. Anevrismele sunt rezultatul unui perete al unui vas de sânge slăbit și poate fi un rezultat al unei afecțiuni ereditare sau al unei boli dobândite. Anevrismele pot fi, de asemenea, un nidus pentru formarea cheagurilor și embolizarea.
