Un metal de umplere este un metal adăugat în realizarea unei îmbinări prin sudare, lipire sau lipire. Există patru tipuri de metale de umplutură - electrozi acoperiți, sârmă sau tija de electrod goale, sârmă electrod tubulară și fluxuri de sudură.
