Raphael Holinshed a fost un cronicar englez, a cărui lucrare, cunoscută sub numele de Chronicles de Holinshed, a fost una dintre principalele surse folosite de William Shakespeare pentru o serie de piese. Se crede că a venit de la Cheshire, dar a trăit în Londra, unde a lucrat ca traducător pentru imprimanta Reyner Wolfe.
