Infrastructura reprezintă structurile fizice și organizaționale de bază necesare pentru funcționarea unei societăți sau întreprinderi sau serviciile și facilitățile necesare funcționării unei economii. Acesta poate fi în general definit ca setul de elemente structurale interconectate care oferă cadrul care susține o structură de dezvoltare întreagă. Este un termen important pentru judecarea dezvoltării unei țări sau a unei regiuni.
