În matematică, intersecția a două sau mai multe obiecte este un alt obiect, de obicei "mai mic". Se presupune că toate obiectele se află în anumite spaŃii comune, cu excepŃia teoriei seturilor unde este definită intersecŃia seturilor arbitrare. Este unul dintre conceptele de bază ale geometriei. Intuitiv, intersecția a două sau mai multe obiecte este un obiect nou care se află în fiecare dintre obiectele originale.
