O pată port-vin sau nevus flammeus este aproape întotdeauna un semn de naștere. Este cauzată de o anomalie vasculară. Picturile de vin pe bază de vin trăiesc în mod obișnuit pe tot parcursul vieții. Zona afectată a pielii crește proporțional cu creșterea generală. Picturile de pepinieră vin cel mai adesea pe față, dar pot apărea oriunde pe corp, în special pe gât și trunchiul superior. Petele timpurii sunt de obicei plate și roz în aparență. Pe măsură ce copilul se maturizează, culoarea se poate adânci până la o culoare roșu închis sau purpuriu. La maturitate, poate apărea îngroșarea leziunii sau dezvoltarea unor bucăți mici. Ele sunt numite vinuri portuare pentru culoarea lor rosiatica. Picturile pe bază de port-vin pot face parte dintr-un sindrom cum ar fi sindromul Sturge-Weber sau sindromul Klippel-Trénaunay-Weber.
