Sir Terence David John "Terry" Pratchett, OBE este un autor englez al romanelor fanteziste, în special lucrări comice. El este cel mai bine cunoscut pentru seria Discworld de aproximativ 40 de volume. Primul roman al lui Pratchett, "The Carpet People", a fost publicat în 1971, și de când primul său roman Discworld a fost publicat în 1983, el a scris în medie câte două cărți pe an.
