Sciatică
Sciatica este un set de simptome care includ durerea cauzată de compresia generală sau iritarea uneia dintre cele cinci rădăcini ale nervilor spinali ai fiecărui nerv sciatic sau prin comprimarea sau iritarea nervilor stîngi sau drepți sau ai ambilor nervi. Simptomele includ dureri de spate inferioare, dureri de fund, amorțeală, durere sau slăbiciune în diferite părți ale piciorului și piciorului. Alte simptome includ senzația de "spini și ace", furnicături și dificultăți la mișcarea sau controlul piciorului. De obicei, simptomele se manifestă doar pe o parte a corpului. Durerea poate radia deasupra genunchiului, dar nu întotdeauna.
