Biserica Adventistă de Ziua a Șaptea este o denominație creștină protestantă, distinsă prin respectarea ei de sâmbătă, a saptea zi a săptămânii iudeo-creștine, ca Sabat și prin accentul pus pe a doua venire iminentă a lui Isus Hristos. Denominația a luat naștere din mișcarea millerită din Statele Unite în timpul celui de mijloc al secolului al XIX-lea și a fost înființată în mod oficial în 1863. Printre fondatorii ei a fost Ellen G. White, ale cărei scrieri extinse sunt încă ținute în mare atenție de biserica de astăzi. O mare parte din teologia Bisericii Adventiste de Ziua a Șaptea corespunde învățăturilor creștine protestante, cum ar fi Trinitatea și infailibilitatea Scripturii.
