Simplificare
În logica propozițională, simplificarea este o inferență valabilă, o formă de argument și o regulă de inferență valabilă, ceea ce face să se deducă faptul că, dacă conjuncția A și B sunt adevărate, atunci A este adevărat și B este adevărat. Această regulă face posibilă scurtarea dovezilor mai lungi prin derivarea unei singure conjuncturi dintr-o conjuncție pe o linie de la sine. Un exemplu în limba engleză: plouă și plouă. Prin urmare, ploua. Regula poate fi exprimată în limbaj formal ca: sau în cazul în care regula este că ori de câte ori apare "" o linie de probă, "" sau "" pot fi plasate pe o linie ulterioară de la sine.
