Registrul de rase
Un registru al rasei, cunoscut și sub denumirea de registru de bovine, registru de animale sau registru, în creșterea animalelor și hobby-ul animalelor, este o listă oficială a animalelor dintr-o rasă specifică ale cărei părinți sunt cunoscuți. Animalele sunt, de obicei, înregistrate de crescătorii lor atunci când sunt încă tineri. Termenii "genealogie" și "registru" sunt de asemenea utilizați pentru a se referi la listele de animale masculine "în picioare", adică animalele care cresc în mod activ, spre deosebire de fiecare specimen cunoscut al rasei respective. Astfel de registre eliberează, de obicei, certificate pentru fiecare animal înregistrat, numit "Pedigree", documentația animalului pedigree sau, cel mai adesea, "hârtia" unui animal. Lucrările de înscriere pot consta dintr-un simplu certificat sau o listă a strămoșilor în fundul animalului, uneori cu un grafic care să arate linia de origine.
