O taxă reținută la sursă, numită și o taxă de reținere, este o obligație guvernamentală pentru plătitorul unui venit de reținere sau deducere a impozitului din plată și să plătească acea taxă guvernului. În majoritatea jurisdicțiilor, impozitul reținut la sursă se aplică veniturilor din muncă. Multe jurisdicții solicită, de asemenea, impozitarea cu reținere la plata dobânzilor sau a dividendelor.
