Aeroelastisite, elastik bir gövde bir akışkan akışa maruz kaldığında ortaya çıkan atalet, elastik ve aerodinamik kuvvetler arasındaki etkileşimleri inceleyen fizik ve mühendisliğin koludur. Aeroelastisite çalışması geniş olarak iki alana ayrılabilir: statik aeroelastisite, elastik bir gövdenin akışkan akışına statik veya sabit tepki ile ilgilidir; ve dinamik aeroelastisite, vücudun dinamik yanıtı ile ilgilidir. Aeroelastisite, akışkanlar mekaniği, katı mekaniği, yapısal dinamikler ve dinamik sistemler üzerinde çalışmaktadır. Termodinamik ile aeroelastisitenin sentezi aerotermoelastisite olarak bilinir ve kontrol teorisiyle sentezi aeroservoelastisite olarak bilinir.
