Morina
Cod, Gadidae ailesine ait demersal balıkların Gadus cinsinin ortak adıdır. Cod aynı zamanda diğer balık türleri için ortak bir isim olarak da kullanılır ve Gadus cinsine ait cod diye de adlandırılmamış olan türler vardır. Cod'un en önemli iki türü, Kuzey Atlantik boyunca daha soğuk sularda ve daha derin deniz bölgelerinde yaşayan Atlantik morina ve Kuzey Pasifik'in doğu ve batı bölgelerinde bulunan Pasifik morina türüdür.
