Muhafazakarlık, politik ve sosyal bir felsefe olarak geleneksel sosyal kurumların korunmasını teşvik eder. Muhafazakarlık felsefelerini takip eden bir kişiye, geleneksel ya da muhafazakâr bir kişi denir.
