Lanset penceresi, üst kısmında sivri kemerli, uzun boylu, dar bir penceredir. "Lanset" ismini bir mızrağa benzemek için elde etti. Bu mimari motif örnekleri, en eski dönemin gotik dini yapılarına tipiktir. Lancet pencereleri tek tek oluşabilir veya tek bir kalıplama altında eşlenebilir veya en uzun penceresi ortadaki tek sayıya bölünebilir. Motif, Fransız erken Gotik döneminde ve daha sonra Gotik mimarinin İngiliz döneminde ortaya çıktı. Bu dönem, bazen "Lancet Periyodu" olarak bilinen lanset penceresi özelliğiydi. "Lanset penceresi" terimi, sade formdaki pencerelere, süsleme olmadan düzgün şekilde uygulanır. Eşleşmiş camlara bazen basit bir açılma ile örtülmüş, örn. Plak çekiğinde quatrefoil kesilmiştir.
