Lashio, Mandalay'ın yaklaşık 200 kilometre kuzeydoğusunda, Myanmar'ın kuzeyindeki Shan Eyaletindeki en büyük kasabadır. Nam Yao nehri vadisine bakan düşük bir dağ spurunda bulunmaktadır.
