Podyum
Bir podyum, çevresindeki şeyleri kısa bir mesafeye çıkarmak için kullanılan bir platformdur. Yunan πόδι'den türemiştir. Mimaride bir bina büyük bir podyum üzerinde durabilir. Podia aynı zamanda insanları yetiştirmek için de kullanılabilir; örneğin bir orkestra şefi birçok pvc hoparlöründe olduğu gibi bir podyumda duruyor. Podyum, aynı zamanda bir konuşmacı arkasında duran nesneyi kastettiği gibi, zemin seviyesinde olsa bile üzerine kağıt veya kitap koyar; ancak bu öğe için geleneksel terim kürsüdir.
