PRUSIK SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?
Prusik
Prusik / prʌsɪk / tırmanış, canyoneering, dağcılık, mağaracılık, halat kurtarma ve arboristler tarafından uygulanan bir ipin etrafına ip sarmak için kullanılan bir sürtünme aksamı veya düğümdür. Prusik terimi, hem kordonun, hem de kancanın döngülerinin bir adı ve fiili ise "prusik" tir. Daha rahatlıkla, bu terim bir ip sürükleyebilecek herhangi bir sürtünme aksamı veya cihaz için kullanılır. Sözcük sıklıkla Prussik, Prussick veya Prussic olarak yanlış yazılmıştır, çünkü prussic asidi ile bir homofondur. Prusik çatalı, iddia edilen mucidi Avusturyalı dağcı Karl Prusik tarafından seçildi. 1931 yılında Avusturya dağcılık el kitabında yükselen halat gösterildi. Dönemin çeşitli dağcı yollarında, tırmanıcıların ipin diğer tarafını dikerek zirveye çıkabilmesi için, bir üst üste atılan ipin son zirveye çıkması için kullanıldı. Kordondan yapılmış bir prusik, bağlı olduğu halata az veya hiç zarar vermez; ancak bazı mekanik prusikler hasara neden olabilir, özellikle prusiking sırasında cihaz kayarsa.
İngilizce sözlükte prusik sözcüğünün tanımı
Sözlükte prusik tanımı da: prusik düğümdür. Baskı altında kilitlenen ve bir tırmanıcının ayağını kaldırıp bir ipi tırmanmak için ayağını yerleştirebileceği bir döngü oluşturmak için kullanılabilen kayan bir düğüm. Prusik'in diğer tanımı prusik döngülerini kullanarak tırmanmaktır.
