Dilbilimde, bir sonuç, bir şeyin veya bir kişinin bir etkinliğin tamamlanması sonucunda devlette bir değişiklik geçirdiğini ifade eden bir formudur. Sonuçlar cümlelerin predikatları olarak görülür ve genellikle bir fiilin post-sözlü bir isim cümlesi ve diğerleri arasında bir sıfat, ön ekcedir cümle veya bir cisim tarafından temsil edilebilecek şekilde sonuçlandırılmış deyimden oluşur. Örneğin, İngilizce cümlede Adam tablayı temizledi, sıfat temizliği, adamın silindiği gibi olayın sonucu olarak tablo ile elde edilen durumu belirtir.
