Dermatofitoz, insanlardaki cildin mantar enfeksiyonu, kedi gibi evcil hayvanlar ve koyun ve sığır gibi evcil hayvanlardan kaynaklanan klinik bir durumdur. Bu tür enfeksiyonlara değinmek için yaygın olarak kullanılan "bayılma" terimi yanlış bir addır çünkü durum, parazit solucanlar değil, birkaç farklı türdeki mantarlardan kaynaklanmaktadır. Nüfusun şu an yirmi kadarının, zambak kurdu veya diğer dermatofitozlardan biri tarafından enfekte olabileceği tahmin edilmektedir. Özellikle güreş sporu yapan insanlar arasında yaygındır. Ringworm'lu güreşçiler, deri durumları uygun makamlar tarafından bulaşıcı olmayan addedilene kadar rekabette bırakılabilir.
