Homeopati i / ˌhoʊmiɒpəθi /, sağlıklı kişilerde bir hastalığın semptomlarına neden olan bir maddenin hasta insanlardaki benzer semptomları tedavi edebileceği, buna benzer ilaç tedavileri üzerine yaptığı doktrinine dayanılarak 1796'da Samuel Hahnemann tarafından yaratılan alternatif tıp sistemidir. Çözümler, seçilen bir maddenin alkol veya damıtılmış suda tekrar tekrar seyreltilmesi, ardından elastik bir vücuda kuvvetli çarpılmasıyla hazırlanır. [7] Seyreltme, orijinal maddenin hiçbir molekülünün kalmadığı noktadan sonra genellikle devam eder. [8] Homeopatlar, repertuar olarak bilinen referans kitaplara başvurarak ve hastanın semptomlarının, kişisel özelliklerin, fiziksel ve psikolojik durumun ve yaşam öyküsünün toplamını göz önünde tutarak ilaçları seçebilirler. [9] Homeopati biyolojik akla yatkınlıktan yoksundur [10] ve homeopatinin aksiyomları bir süredir çürütülmüştür.
