Sokak, yapılı bir çevrede asfalt döşenmiş bir toplu işyeri caddesidir. Kentsel bağlamda insanlara özgürce bir araya gelebilecekleri, etkileşim kurabilecekleri ve taşınabilecekleri binalara bitişik araziye ait bir parseldir. Bir cadde, kir seviyesinde bir parça kadar basit olabilir, ancak beton, Arnavut kaldırım taşı veya tuğla gibi sert, dayanıklı bir yüzeyle daha sık döşenir.
