Tule / tuːliː /, ortak tule, hardstem tule, tule acele, hardstem bulrush veya viscid bulrush adı verilen Schoenoplectus akutu, Kuzey Amerika'nın dört bir yanındaki tatlı su bataklıklarındaki Cyperaceae bitki familyasındaki dev bir kene türüdür. Ortak adı, Nāhuatl sözcüğünden türemiştir ve ilk olarak, Central Spain civarındaki bataklık bitkilerini Mexico City çevresindeki bataklıklardaki benzer bataklıklar olarak tanıyan New Spain'tan erken yerleşimciler tarafından uygulanmıştır. Tules bir zamanlar Batı Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'ndeki en büyük tatlısu gölü olan Tulare Gölü'nün kıyılarında, 20. yüzyılda arsa spekülatörleri tarafından boşaltılıncaya dek sıralanmıştır. Eski kaliforniyalı ailelerin lehçelerinden kaynaklanan ve "hiç kimsenin yaşamak istemeyeceği" anlamına gelen, "tabanlarda dışarıya" ifadesi hâlâ ortaktır; bir dokunuşla ironi olur. Bu cümle, "dışa açılmak" ile kıyaslanabilir. Uzun, çimenli yaprakları ve radyal olarak simetrik, kümelenmiş soluk kahverengimsi çiçeklerle 1 ila 3 m boyunda büyüyen kalın, yuvarlak bir yeşil gövdeye sahiptir.
