Fransız sözcüğünden bir kadeh, genellikle iki direğin varlığıyla karakterize edilen belirli bir yelkenli türüdür; bazen üç, nadiren daha fazladır; üzerinde birden fazla eğim derecesine sahip çok sayıda bıçak bulunur geminin simetri eksenine göre. Kadehlerin kendine özgü özelliği, rüzgarın kuvvetini tam olarak kavrayabilmek için bu birden fazla bezin değişik eğim derecelerinde aynı anda kullanılmasıdır. En verimli ve hızlı kadehler durumunda, bıçaklar çok nadiren teknenin ileri yönüne dik olarak yönlendirilir.
