Дискримінація - це дія, яка заперечує соціальну участь або права людини на категорії людей на основі забобонів. Це включає в себе лікування особи або групи на підставі їх фактичного або сприйманого членства в певній групі або соціальній категорії "у спосіб, який є гіршим, ніж спосіб, яким люди звичайно поводяться". Вона включає в себе початкову реакцію або взаємодію групи, що впливає на фактичну поведінку особи стосовно групи або лідера групи, обмежуючи членів однієї групи з можливостей або привілеїв, доступних іншою групі, що призводить до виключення особи або юридичних осіб на основі логічних або ірраціональне прийняття рішень. Дискримінаційні традиції, політика, ідеї, практика та закони існують у багатьох країнах та установах у кожній частині світу, навіть у тих країнах, де дискримінація загалом розглядається.
