У музиці гармонія - це використання одночасних смол, або акордів. Вивчення гармонії включає акорди та їх побудову, а також прогресування акордів та принципи зв'язку, що їх керують. Гармонію часто називають "вертикальним" аспектом музики, на відміну від мелодійної лінії або "горизонтального" аспекту.
