Просодична одиниця
У мовознавстві просодична одиниця, часто називається одиницею інтонації або інтонаційною фразою, є сегментом мови, що відбувається з єдиним просодичним контуром. Скорочення МУ використовується, і тому повна форма часто зустрічається як інтонаційна одиниця, незважаючи на те, що вона технічно є одиницею просодії, а не інтонацією, що є лише одним елементом просодії. Просодичні одиниці відбуваються за ієрархією рівнів, від метричної ноги та фонологічного слова до повного висловлювання. Однак цей термін, як правило, обмежується проміжними рівнями, які не мають спеціальної термінології. Просодичні одиниці взагалі не відповідають синтаксичним одиницям, таким як фрази і статті; вважають, що вони відображають різні аспекти того, як мозок обробляє мову, а просодичні одиниці генеруються через взаємодію та обробку в режимі он-лайн, а з більш автоматизованими морфосинтаксичними одиницями.
