Утреня - монастирська нічна літургія, яка закінчується на зорі, канонічних годин. У римо-католицькому превак-ватикан-II урочистості, він ділиться на три ноктюні. Назва "matins" спочатку називалася ранковим офісом, також відоме як lauds.
