Неологізм - це назва нового терміну, слова або фрази, які можуть бути в процесі введення загального користування, але ще не прийнятого до основної мови. Неологізми часто безпосередньо відносяться до конкретної людини, публікації, періоду або події. Неолексія це синонім. Термін неологізм вперше підтверджено англійською мовою в 1772 році, запозичений з французької неологізми.
