Секуляризація
Сек'юралізація або секуляризація - це трансформація суспільства з тісної ідентифікації з релігійними цінностями та інституціями до нерелігійних цінностей та світських установ. Теза секуляризації посилається на віру в те, що, як суспільство прогресує, зокрема через модернізацію та раціоналізацію, релігія втрачає авторитет у всіх аспектах суспільного життя та управління. Термін "секуляризація" також використовується в контексті скасування монастирських обмежень членом духовенства. Секуляризація має багато рівнів сенсу як як теорія, так і історичний процес. Соціальні теоретики, такі як Карл Маркс, Зигмунд Фрейд, Макс Вебер та Еміле Дюркгейм, поставили на думку, що модернізація суспільства передбачає зниження рівня релігійності. Вивчення цього процесу спрямоване на визначення способу, в якому або в якій мірі релігійні вірування, практики та інститути втрачають соціальну значимість. Деякі теоретики стверджують, що секуляризація сучасної цивілізації частково зумовлена нашою неспроможністю адаптувати широкі етичні та духовні потреби людства до все більш швидкого просування фізичних наук.
Визначення secularize у англійська словнику
Перше визначення секуляризації в словнику полягає в тому, щоб змінюватися з релігійних чи священних на світські функції тощо. Інше визначення секуляризації полягає в тому, щоб відмовитися від вірності релігійному порядку. Секуляризація також полягає у передачі від церковного до цивільного володіння або користування.
