Стрінгхальт - це раптове згинання однієї або обох задніх лап у коні, найбільш легко побачене, коли коня ходить або ритнує. Найбільш очевидно, коли лоб спирається повільно, вмикаючи уражену ногу або раптом наляканий. Це може включати в себе одну або обидві задні ноги коня. Це судорожне скорочення бокових розгинальних сухожиллями задньої лапи. Приклад двостороннього струменя на коні: гомілки спричинно і швидко згинаються, ноги залишаються високими, перш ніж швидко потрапити на землю. Умова більш очевидна під час повороту та закріплення.
