Припущення - це граматично відмінний клас слів, більшість центральних членів якого характеризують просторові або тимчасові відносини або служать для позначення різних синтаксичних функцій та семантичних ролей. При цьому основна функція - реляційна, примірник, як правило, поєднується з іншою складовою, щоб сформувати примірну фразу, що пов'язує доповнення до контексту, в якому виникає ця фраза. Слово "приставка" походить від латинського мови, в якому таке слово, як правило, розміщується до його доповнення, таким чином він "попередньо позиціонується".
