Переклад
Переклад - це повідомлення про зміст тексту вихідного тексту за допомогою еквівалентного текстового тексту. В той час, як тлумачення, безсумнівно, до написання попереднього періоду, переклад почався лише після появи письмової літератури; існують часткові переклади Шумерського епосу Гільгамеша на південно-західні азійські мови другого тисячоліття до н.е. Перекладачі завжди ризикують невідповідним розповсюдженням вихідної мови та використанням у перекладі цільової мови. Через трудомісткість перекладу, починаючи з 40-х років, інженери прагнули автоматизувати переклади або механічно допомогти перекладачам.
Визначення translation у англійська словнику
Перше визначення перекладу в словнику є те, що є або було перекладено, тобто написаний текст. Інше визначення перекладу є акт перекладу або стан перекладу. Переклад є також перетворенням, в якому походження координатної системи переміщується в інше положення, так що кожна вісь зберігає той самий напрямок або, аналогічно, фігура або крива переміщається так, щоб вона зберігала ту ж орієнтацію на осі.

Here's a secret. Many novelists, if they are pressed and if they are being honest, will admit that the finished book is a rather rough translation of the book they'd intended to write.
