Yazidi є курдською етно-релігійною спільнотою, що представляє давню релігію, пов'язану з зороастризмом. Вони живуть в першу чергу в провінції Ніневі на півночі Іраку. Додаткові громади в Вірменії, Грузії, Туреччині та Сирії впали з 1990-х років, члени їх емігрували до Європи, особливо до Німеччини.
