Ake
Ake ist eine archäologische Stätte der präkolumbianischen Maya-Zivilisation, die sich in der Gemeinde Tixkokob befindet. Im mexikanischen Bundesstaat Yucatán; 40 km östlich von Mérida, Yucatán. Der Name Ake ist ein Toponym, das bedeutet "Ort der Schilf" in Yucatec Maya. Eine bemerkenswerte Eigenschaft des Aufstellungsortes ist sein System des präkolumbianischen sacbeo'ob oder der Straßen, die den Zugang mit anderen Siedlungen in der Region erleichtern.
