Araber
Araber, auch bekannt als arabische Menschen oder arabisch sprechende Menschen, sind eine große panethnische Gruppe. Sie bewohnen vorwiegend in Westasien, Nordafrika, Teile des Horns von Afrika und anderen Gebieten in der arabischen Welt. Arabisch sprechende Populationen sind im Allgemeinen eine sehr heterogene Sammlung von Völkern mit unterschiedlichen Ahnenursprung und Identitäten. Die Bindungen, die die arabischen Völker binden, sind ein Verblend des gemeinsamen Erbes durch gemeinsame sprachliche, kulturelle und politische Traditionen. Die arabische Identität beruht also auf einem oder mehreren von genealogischen, sprachlichen oder kulturellen Gründen, obwohl mit konkurrierenden Identitäten, die oft eine herausragende Rolle spielen, auf der Grundlage von Überlegungen, einschließlich regionaler, nationaler, Clan-, Verwandten-, Sekten- und Stamm-Zugehörigkeiten und Beziehungen, Wenn die arabische Panethnizität als eine einzige Bevölkerung betrachtet wird, dann ist sie eine der größten Gruppen der Welt nach Han-Chinesen.
