Zwei Arten von chough / tʃʌf / bilden die Gattung Pyrrhocorax der Corvidae Vögelfamilie. Dies sind die Red-billed Chough, und die alpine oder gelb-billed Chough. Die Hauptbedrohung für diese Gattung ist die Veränderung der landwirtschaftlichen Praktiken, die zu lokalen Bevölkerungsrückgängen geführt haben und die Fragmentierung reichen, obwohl keine Arten weltweit gefährdet sind.
